AEGIS
The "magic bullet" to cure or prevent HIV infection has not been found, and too many people with or affected by HIV/AIDS are isolated by cultural, geographic, and economic barriers. In these times, how must we fight AIDS and relieve the human suffering it causes? AEGIS believes the answer will be found in the transformation of information into knowledge. For that to happen, information must be easily accessible and widely disseminated. It must be used.
To promote this process AEGIS utilizes a combination of electronic bulletin boards and Internet communication tools. In this way, AEGIS seeks to relieve some of the suffering and isolation caused by HIV/AIDS, and foster the understanding and knowledge that will lead to better care, prevention, and a cure. Since its inception, in 1990, AEGIS has matured into a robust, fully operational service with a global network of users. The range of information available is so vast, its quality so dependable, that national and international organizations routinely log onto the system to converse or download clinical information or late-breaking news.
AIDS Action
AIDS Action is the national voice on AIDS, and it is committed to advocating for people affected by HIV/AIDS "Until It's Over" - until no more people become infected with HIV, until people living with HIV have the care and support they need, and until the cure is found. Amongst other items on its agenda, AIDS Action strives to: promote research, educate the public, and serve as an advocate for all people living with AIDS.
AIDS Treatment News
Non-profit AIDS.ORG has been a pioneer in the global online distribution of quality HIV/AIDS information - reaching users over 170 countries, worldwide. In addition to hosting "AIDS Treatment News," AIDS.org was the first to produce online AIDS continuing medical education programs (CME's) and was one of Amazon.com's first associates with the creation of the first AIDS Bookstore. AIDS.org believes that building community is key, and they welcome new alliances with AIDS service organizations, medical schools, publications, and other content providers.

With its freedom and flexibility to respond quickly to emerging opportunities and its determination to invest in cutting-edge science, amfAR plays a unique, catalytic role in accelerating the pace of HIV/AIDS research and achieving real breakthroughs. Funded by voluntary contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations, amfAR has invested nearly $175 million in support of its mission since 1985 and funded grants to over 1,850 research teams worldwide.

The HIV/AIDS Treatment Information Service (ATIS) is your central resource for federally approved treatment guidelines for HIV and AIDS. They are staffed with bilingual health information specialists who can answer questions about HIV/AIDS treatment options using a broad network of federal, national, and community-based information resources.
HIV and Hepatitis
HIVandHepatitis.com was created with the goal of providing a quality online publication that has accurate, timely, and cutting-edge information about treatment for HIV/AIDS, chronic hepatitis B and hepatitis C, and co-infection with HIV/HCV and HIV/HBV. HIVandHepatitis.com strives to improve the quality of life, slow disease progression, and increase survival time for the millions of people living with any of the aforementioned diseases.

Project Inform has been at the frontlines in the fight against HIV and AIDS since 1985-when reliable information about the disease and its treatment was nearly impossible to obtain
Project Inform is a national nonprofit, community based organization working to end the AIDS epidemic. Its mission is to:
- Provide vital information on the diagnosis and treatment of HIV disease to HIV-infected individuals, their caregivers, and their healthcare and service providers.
- Advocate for enlightened regulatory, research, and funding policies, affecting the development of, access to, and delivery of effective treatments, as well as to fund innovative research opportunities.
- Inspire people to make informed choices amid uncertainty, and to choose hope over despair.
UNAIDS.org
As the main advocate for global action on HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS leads, strengthens and supports an expanded response aimed at preventing the transmission of HIV, providing care and support, reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities to HIV/AIDS, and alleviating the impact of the epidemic.
